Pop-up asking if I'm sure I want to leave the conversation.

Accidentally clicked the back button on my phone while in a conversation, unfortunately by the time I got back into it the time was up. It would be handy to have a pop-up warning me that I'm leaving the conversation and asking if I'm sure I want to leave or if I want to stay. It would also be nice if my partially typed responses were remembered in instances like this. That way I can simply finish it up before a conversation is over.

Save to vocabulary example must also be shown in my own language or in English at least

Text-to-speech: Listen to messages sent by the characters

Implement the ability to listen to messages sent by characters in the language they are speaking.

Bug: The session topic/situation does not correspond with the initial message from the character

Problem: Arne is an employee at the supermarket and you want to ask him a question… …but when the session starts, Arne asks you a question when it should actually be the other way around. I thought I fixed this, but it still seems to be an issue 🤔

Receive translations and explanation in my own language for easier understanding

As a user, I want to receive translations and explanations in my own language (or a language I am most comfortable with). For example, if I am Dutch, I’d like to receive translations and explanations in Dutch instead of English.

As a user, I want to view a list of recent and past sessions so that I can study and revisit conversations

Implement the ability to view recent sessions (from home page) and list of all past sessions (sessions page).

Ability to change my character image and display name

I want to be able to change my character and display name from my profile page.

Sessions should be timeboxed

When starting a new session, ask the user how long they want the session to be. Options are: 5 minutes 10 minutes 15 minutes

Saving words to personal vocabulary

Ability to select one or more words or phrases from the conversation to be saved to my personal vocabulary. Saved entries will automatically be saved with explanation, an example and an optional personal note.

Ability to translate messages sent by the characters

The messages sent by the fictional characters are in the language you are learning. To make learning possible, a translation feature is required.

When I type in English, Dutch or Afrikaans, translate my message to the target language

Export conversations as PDF documents for further studying

Ability to export a conversation/session, along with all translations and corrections so that the user can study it at a later stage or when offline.

Word lookup during conversation

Ability to look up a word in a given language (kind of like a translation app), during a conversation. This will allow the user to find and use words in the language they are learning, without beaking the flow of the conversation - making learning more effective.
